Underneath blood red skies
I am stagnant,
waiting
for the beginning of the end
of the world.
Underneath these black billowing clouds
I walk,
watching
everyone running,screaming,
crying.
Underneath a sky that is falling down
I remain calm,
believing
that in the end- during our last days-
it will all be okay.
Underneath these clouds that will swallow us all
I laugh,
thinking
that you must be somewhere
watching the world collapse, too.
Underneath it all
I'm weak,
breaking
like a china doll-
hitting pavement.
Underneath this pale skin,
underneath these dark clothes,
underneath this dyed hair,
underneath these chains,these spikes-
I'm falling apart,
wishing I was falling into you.
Underneath this smile,
this girl is
crying.
A picture of you appears...
wiping away my tears.
...
Underneath this vermillion glow, this blood red sky,
I smile...
Knowing
that you are somewhere...
waiting, watching, believing, thinking, breaking, ((crying))...
crying for me.

I have edited this poem. He made quite a few valid points. I regret taking out a few lines, maybe a word or two, but to make the poem ~*~flow~*~ and m-e-s-h and work
just the way it should have from the beginning
I just had to crop some things out. So yeah, if you see my reply to sketch's critique, I said I wanted to keep a few things in, even though I didn't. So it WILL sound like I contradict myself but oh well. Wanted the poem to be at it's best. I stressed, but no matter what, the boy was right.
Hope you guys like the edit better...I know I sure do.]=-
